About Helen
My name is Helen Keller. At 19 months old, I contracted an illness that left me blind and deaf, but I didn’t let that stop me. I became an author, political activist, and lecturer, graduating from Harvard with a BA. I learned how to accommodate my disability by communicating with people through vibrations and sign language. I have traveled to 25 different countries giving motivational speeches and deaf people’s conditions.
